Physical, Mental & Behavioral Health

July 2023

Poor overall health exacerbates the challenges of finding stable employment, taking care of family members and planning for the future. Improving overall health – which includes physical, behavioral and mental health – can help Hoosiers live to their potential.

United Way’s partners provide health care services and connect people to the support and resources they need throughout our region. United Way partners with 40 organizations who improve Hoosiers’ physical, behavioral and mental health through services including health screenings and preventative services, assistance with health care coordination, and substance abuse treatments.

The snapshot below contains data on physical, mental and behavioral health needs and the current impact of programs to support individuals and families, as reported by United Way partners in impact.
