The United Way of Central Indiana council, composed of community members, selected nine grant recipients 

The word “heritage” speaks to a legacy that endures far beyond a singular event or period. This is not a history bound by the constraints of 28 days; it is a culture that continues to stretch across centuries.

The program builds the data and evaluation skills of organizations led by or primarily serving people of color 

Convened by United Way of Central Indiana, the taskforce’s goal is to ensure all Hoosiers in the region have access to affordable internet, digital devices, digital literacy 

The council, a United Way of Central Indiana initiative, is composed of 15 community members

Black history recognizes the achievements of Black Americans, whose story is catalogued through a close-to-400-year history of denied choice.   

Tucked away in the annals of time is a speech Dr. King delivered to junior high students in 1967, where he asked the critical question: “What is in your life’s blueprint?” 

Members of the Parent Advisory Council awarded their first round of grant funding this spring

This is the first round of funding awarded by the council, a new initiative from United Way of Central Indiana

The program assists participants with data collection, analysis

The program is for nonprofits and faith-based organizations led by or primarily serving people of color

Through the Grassroots and Faith-Based Data Initiative, United Way of Central Indiana’s reporting and analytics team works with grassroots organizations to improve their ability to collect and analyze data about their work and the people they serve.
