YouthActionNet is about connecting youth to create change. This international site includes discussions about global issues of importance to youth, job and volunteer opportunities, tools to create change, a virtual graffiti wall, youth profiles, descriptions of change organizations and a calendar of events. The website was developed by the International Youth Foundation in consultation with a task force of eight young leaders from Australia, Germany, Kosovo, Mexico, Palestine, the Philippines, Uganda and the United States. Sponsored by the Nokia Corporation, Youth ActionNet is part of the global Make a Connection program.

Amigos de las Américas is an international, voluntary, nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization that, through service: provides leadership development opportunities for young people; promotes community health in Latin America; and facilitates cross-cultural understanding for the people of the Americas. For over 35 years, Amigos de las Américas has provided a unique opportunity for high school and college students in the U.S. to make a difference in the world. Over 18,000 young volunteers have completed extensive leadership and language training programs that prepare them to spend a summer as volunteers in ongoing community health projects throughout Latin America.

Changemakers is an initiative of the Ashoka Foundation that focuses on the rapidly growing world of social entrepreneurship. Its mission is to provide inspiration, resources, and opportunities for those interested in social change throughout the world. LEARNING TO GIVE

A philanthropy curriculum that teaches the importance of Voluntary Action for the Common Good in a Democratic Society. The curriculum includes downloadable teaching materials, lesson plans for K-5, Middle School and High School, philanthropy bibliographies and more. Great resource for teachers!

LEGACY INTERNATIONAL

Legacy International is an organization that for more than 20 years has specialized in international youth leadership and cross-cultural training programs. Their interactive website is designed by teenagers to provide young people with opportunities to get involved in their communities. In addition, E-teen offers contests for Vollunteer of the Month, Most Valuable Teen and est Community Web site.
