to guide you through your project.

A not-for-profit
sponsor. Some sponsors have been: public and
private schools, religious organizations,
youth programs, public agencies, correctional
facilities, community centers, and scouts.
YAR will help match groups with a not-for-profit
sponsor.

Attend a grant
workshop. Notices of workshops are mailed
approximately 6-8 weeks prior to application
deadlines. Youth as Resources of Central Indiana
runs two funding cycles per year. The next
funding cycle is coming up in the fall
of 2006. Click on the Grant Workshops
button above for application deadlines and
grant workshop dates and locations.

Have your group
identify problems in your school, neighborhood
or community.

"Brainstorm"
or list ideas that would help solve the problems.

Select an activity
that would lead to solving a problem. Talk
about whether the activity can really be done
as a project by your group.

Make a list of
the things you will need for your project,
and decide how you will get them.

Divide up your
project activity into smaller tasks, and assign
group members to do them.
