Hancock
County Youth as Resources (YAR) offers a fall
grant cycle and a spring grant cycle each year.
Groups may apply for up to $1,200 per grant. The
grant deadline for fall 2006 is Friday, October
20, 2006.
Any group
of youth interested in applying for a grant must
attend a grant workshop to receive information
and a grant application. The group should have
at least 2-3 youth representatives attend the
workshop, in addition to an adult leader. The
workshops will include suggestions for project
ideas and project budgets as well as information
about what Board members look for in a grant proposal.
Each cycle, several grant workshops are offered
at various locations in Hancock County. If your
group is unable to attend a scheduled workshop,
it is possible to make arrangements for an individual
session by contacting the Hancock County YAR Coordinator.

On Thursday,

Celebration to award the fall 2006 new project
grants and to celebrate youth volunteers.
