Youth
Volunteers Present Their Baskets
Traders
Point Christian Academy third graders
assembled Easter baskets for 92 children
served by the Zionsville Presbyterian
Church (ZPC) food bank. The baskets were
filled with much needed items like socks,
tie-dyed T-shirts, hairbrushes, toothbrushes,
and toothpaste. To satisfy a sweet tooth,
candy was included along with coloring
books, crayons, children's books, kites
and plastic eggs.

Zionsville residents to the ill effects of
dumping hazardous waste such as, antifreeze,
brake fluid or fertilizer down storm sewers.
The youth spray painted a fish on Zionsville
storm sewers and delivered door hangers with
information as to the proper disposal of waste

4-H Club Members
Assemble the Signs
The Jefferson
Doverites 4-H Club created and distributed
about 450, 6" X 18" reflective
address signs to every rural address in
Jefferson Township. The signs mak it easier
for emergency services to locate residences.
This decrease in response time in emergency
situations has proven to save lives.
Residents unable
to install the signs themselves received
assistance from 4-H Club members or the
Advance Fire Department.

Zionsville MIddle School Builders Club members
constructed three benches for Zionsville's
Lion's Park. The benches were placed at
various locations throughout the park to
provide a place of relaxation for Zionsville
residents. Interviews prior to and after
building the benches provided the youth
with input and feedback.
