Family Volunteer Month |

United Way’s Family Volunteer Month gives families an opportunity to volunteer and learn about community services together.Volunteering as a family provides quality time, strengthens communication and offers opportunities for family members to be role models while making significant contributions to their communities. Family volunteering encourages lifelong volunteers and a legacy of volunteering for the next generation. Who: Families! Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and kids! What: Paint (interior and exterior), wrap holiday gifts, create holiday cards for the troops, help the homeless, visit with seniors, help create arts and crafts, read to children… and so much more! When: November 16 - December 18, 2009 Where: Nonprofit agencies in Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion and Morgan counties.
