Thank you to all who participated in the 5th Annual Family Volunteer Month! 

United Way of Central Indiana hosts an annual service event called "Family Volunteer Month." Hundreds of families have come together to spend a day helping nonprofit organizations make Central Indiana a better place to live. In 2006, United Way of Central Indiana worked with the Points of Light Institute to implement Family Volunteer Day within our community. In 2009, this event expanded into a month-long service opportunity to accomodate families seeking holiday volunteer activities.

These days are designed to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for families and individuals in Central Indiana. Volunteers get to help people in need, meet new and interesting people, and learn more about our Central Indiana community. Nonprofit agencies receive help with much-needed projects, while increasing awareness of their organization's mission and activities.
