United Way of Central Indiana - Addressing Today's Needs. Reducing Tomorrow's.
About United Way

About United Way of Central Indiana

United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) is a nonprofit organization that helps build
better communities – in Marion, Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks and
Morgan counties – by addressing todday's needs and reducing tomorrow's. People in these communties donate money to UWCI, often through their workplaces or schools.

UWCI uses these donations to fund partner agencies that provide help to those in need. That's what "addresssing today's needs" is all about. UWCI also funds programs
that help kids get a good start in school. This helps to create a better future for Central Indiana – that's "reducing tomorrow's needs."

Many volunteers help to identify the needs and decide how to distribute the money.
Youth volunteers help, too, through Youth as Resources.
