
In 2007, Youth as Resources of Central Indiana funded 11 youth-directed volunteer projects in Boone County. The projects involved 328 volunteers who volunteered 2,697 hours of service. It's estimated that at least 3,792 people benefited from the youth service projects. A total of $12,288.68 in grants was awarded to youth for their volunteer projects.
Youth as Resources of Central Indiana (YARCI) challenges youth to identify community needs and design projects that utilize their skills, creativity and energy to help otheres in the community.
