Youth as Resources Boone County - unleashing the power of youth!In 2012, Boone County Youth as Resources distributed $7,669 to 11 youth groups to carry out youth-directed and implemented volunteer service projects. These projects included hunger and literacy initiatives, as well as a mentoring program for high school freshmen and an art program for children. Youth and adults work together, volunteering their time and talents to assist more than 1,000 people in Boone County. Boone County Youth as Resources was established in January of 1996. SEVEN EASY STEPS TO CREATING A YAR PROJECT
Boone County grants may range up to $800. Grant workshops will be held in Lebanon, Thorntown and Zionsville prior to the application deadline. Youth and adult representatives from the applying group must attend one of the workshop sessions in order to apply.
