Did you or your youth group participate? Don't miss out! Volunteer now! Get involved Boone County Youth as Resources (YAR) holds one grant cycle per year – each fall. The 2010 deadline is Friday, October 15. Youth groups may apply for up to $1,200 per grant. Any youth group interested in applying should attend a grant workshop along with their adult leader. First time applicants must attend a workshop to be considered for funding. Tips on what the Board of Directors looks for in a grant proposal, information on project ideas, community needs, researching budgets, determining outcomes, evaluating progress and celebration ideas are shared at each workshop. Applications are distributed at the workshops. Workshops begin on Wednesday, September 8, at the Thorntown Public Library.
