About Our Speaker

Ceci Maron-Puntarelli

Ceci Maron-Puntarelli grew up in Southern California where she played at the beaches and wandered the Santa Monica Mountains. She received a B.A. from DePauw University, and an M.A. from California State University, Northridge. She taught in early childhood classrooms in California and Indiana, spent twelve years as the director of NAEYC-accredited St. Mark’s Nursery School in Bloomington, and teaches early childhood students at Indiana University where she is pursuing her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. She works as a consultant and presents active, play-based workshops to parents and educators on a variety of topics from positive discipline to play-based education. She and her husband Tory raised two creative children and are looking forward to sharing their sense of wonder with their first grandchild due in May.
